ENTREPRENEUR OF THE WEEK- UKA EJE

Uka Eje is the Co-founder and CEO of Thrive Agric, a platform that works with smallholder farmers across Africa to give them access to input-finance for their farms, data-driven extension services advisory to increase their yield and access to premium markets. We have been able to get this done via crowdfunding and linkages with financial partners.

As at the kick off of the business, Uka was able to identify the major problems plaguing Nigerian farmers; finance for their farms, access to better inputs, low yield from their farms because of insufficient data to help improve their yield and access to premium markets.

A solution was proffered with the birth of Thrive Agric, an agricultural technology start-up he co-founded in 2017 with his friend, Ayodeji Arikawe. Since then, Thrive Agric has provided solutions to 18,500+ farmers.
