MOTIVATIONAL PERSONALITY OF THE WEEK: MRS. ANN IGBOKWE
Mrs. Ann Igbokwe was born and bred in Enugu State, but hails from Ebonyi State, both in the South Eastern geo-political zone of Nigeria.
She Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Zaneorich Group of businesses – a range of logistics, food stuff and cosmetics business.
She obtained her first degree (Bachelor of Science) in English and Literature from the Ebonyi State University (EBSU) in 2015 and attended and completed her mandatory National Youth Service program in 2016.
After her youth service year, she started-off working with the All People Party (APP) – one of the political parties in the country at that time, and thereafter, that she went further to work as a product distributor for Swiss Guard (now Health Guard) – a networking organization.
Due to the financial dissatisfaction experienced from white-collar job offers she received and other associated challenges, she started a door-to-door sales of jewelries, with the aim to build her brand, clientele and improve on her financial situation.
After several challenges faced with getting her monies from sales of jewelries despite not having a shop, she ventured into the cosmetics business sector (selling all kinds of skincare products from top USA brands / products for both genders and different ages) at the International Trade Fair Complex which she presently co-owns with her aunty as far back as 2017.
With a zeal to create more wealth for herself, she started a logistics business known as Zaneorich Logistics Enterprises in in 2020.
Zaneorich Logistics Enterprises presently boast of several dispatch riders that convey people’s goods to different locations with capacity to deliver anywhere in Lagos and Ogun state.
This year, 2021, she elected to open a food stuff store (which she had passion for and wanted to create value for people since food stuff is a necessity for human survival). Her store is sticked with all manners of basic food items that household typically desire from a day-to-day basic need.
She states and acknowledge that the business challenges she had faced in her entrepreneurial journey had helped shape her to make certain informed decisions, which in turn enabled her scale through. She tends to study customer preferences so as to sell goods that are in demand, in order to avoid having to auction these goods due to lack of demand.
Mrs. Igbokwe’s inspiration has been the turnover she makes from her products, which has also increased resources for her to invest in other business such as her foodstuff and logistics business line.
She is positive that in the next five years she would expand her logistics business to the capacity of delivering goods (such as eggs, garri and so on) with company branded buses delivering food stuffs to customers (hotels & restaurants).
She also looks to venture into drinks business (all assorted drinks from alcoholic to non-alcoholic drinks).
