Most Nigerian Youths on Social Media are high on Drugs- Lagos lawmaker, Alli Macauly
Mojisola Alli-Macauly, the lawmaker representing Amuwo-odofin constituency 1 of Lagos state claimed during a plenary at the Lagos state House of Assembly on the 29th of October 2020 regarding the recent event in the state involving the looting and pandemonium caused by hoodlums in the wake of the #EndSars protest, that most youths are usually high on drugs hence the menace.
Alli Macauly mentioned that the ” National Orientation Agency (NOA)” needs to look into this to ensure that the youths get proper orientation from time to time in order to change their attitude.
She also argued that lack of jobs or unemployment should not be an excuse for becoming hoodlums. She said that there’s unemployment everywhere and the youths should therefore discover their talent.
The lawmaker mentioned that even as a graduate, nothing stops you from becoming a “designer or tiler” and build the brand to buttress her point that they have no excuse..
